Immediate opening: trowel-trade bricklayer (Georgia)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a trowel-trade bricklayer in Taliaferro County, Georgia. The job is at a renovation and extension job. Day-to-day duties: • Erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod Requirements: • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
