Join our team: we are hiring a precision welder in San Patricio County, Texas. You will be based at a busy sheet-metal workshop. The role involves set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator; carry out 6G pipe welds where required; weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. We offer $2,700 per month plus benefits. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
