We are recruiting: we are hiring an occupational health and safety officer in Perry County, Indiana. The job is in a chemical processing unit. The role involves: • Take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry • Record accident statistics and keep the safety logbook up to date • Stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action • Run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points • Run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry • Ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site Requirements: • Comfortable working at height and inside confined spaces • Sound knowledge of local OSH and factory act regulations Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Pay around $4,600 per month, based on your experience. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
