Fire and safety officer — Calhoun County

Now hiring: we are hiring a fire and safety officer in Calhoun County, Iowa. On the job you will handle: • Update the risk register and method statements (RAMS) • Stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action • Take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry • Inspect scaffolding, full-body harnesses and lifelines for work at height • Deliver site induction to new workers, subcontractors and visitors • Enforce lockout-tagout (LOTO) on energised and rotating equipment What we are looking for: • Able to read and prepare RAMS and method statements • Sound knowledge of local OSH and factory act regulations Pay around $4,500 per month, based on your experience.
