Vacancy available: sheet metal welder (England)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a sheet metal welder in Milton Keynes, England. The job is on a structural steel site. Requirements: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding You will clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding; select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel; sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer. At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. Full-time with occasional weekends. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
