We are recruiting: sand plant operator (Indiana)

Join our team: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Harrison County, Indiana. The job is at an aluminium die-casting plant. On a typical shift you will apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles. You should have: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
