Reinforcement steel fixer wanted in Morgan County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a reinforcement steel fixer in Morgan County, Illinois. You will work on a civil engineering bridge and roads site. Day-to-day duties: • Bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine • Fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings • Check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour • Keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust • Place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing • Install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat You should have: • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
