Great opportunity: we are hiring an abattoir worker in Prince Edward County, Virginia. The job is in a meat processing plant. On a typical shift you will season and marinate meat on request; stuff and link fresh sausages with casings; run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone; portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights; vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders; debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife. You should have: • Quick and accurate on the weighing scales and order maths • 2+ years experience working as a butcher • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate Six days a week, one day off.
