Port container crane operator wanted in Queen Anne's County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a port container crane operator in Queen Anne's County, Maryland. You will be based at a container port and shipping yard. Your main tasks: • Fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure • Follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger • Watch the load moment indicator (LMI) and stay within rated capacity • Carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block • Hoist, slew and lower loads smoothly and under control • Climb and inspect the tower crane mast and tie-ins Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to climb ladders and work long shifts • Strong attention to safety and load limits • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination 4+ years on the tools preferred.
