Rebar fixer — Newry Mourne and Down

Now hiring: we are hiring a rebar fixer in Newry Mourne and Down, Northern Ireland. You will be based at a rebar fabrication workshop. Day-to-day duties: • Set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift • Lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors • Fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover • Keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust • Lap and splice bars to the specified lap length You should have: • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates Six days a week, one day off. Overtime paid at a premium rate. We offer £2,750 per month plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
