Reinforcement fitter wanted in Dukes County

Now hiring: we are hiring a reinforcement fitter in Dukes County, Massachusetts. You will work on an infrastructure project such as a metro or flyover. On a typical shift you will assemble column and beam cages on the bench; fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover; install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat; bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine; tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers; place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing. Ideal candidate: • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
