Steel erection rigger — Alameda County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a steel erection rigger in Alameda County, California. Day-to-day duties: • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists • Select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight • Read lift plans and method statements before starting • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Check sling angles to stay within the working load limit What we are looking for: • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather 3+ years on the tools preferred.
