Now hiring: we are hiring a toolroom milling operator in Leicestershire, England. You will be based in a CNC machining unit. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to stand and lift workpieces • Knows feeds, speeds and tooling for steel, aluminium and cast iron • Good eyesight and steady hands for close-tolerance work The role involves: • Set up and operate vertical and horizontal milling machines • Measure features with vernier callipers, micrometers and bore gauges • Apply cutting coolant and clear swarf from the machine bed • Select and fit end mills, face mills and slot drills into collets and arbors • Keep in-process inspection records and log production counts • Monitor tool wear and change blunt inserts and cutters At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
