Natural gas fitter wanted in Menard County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a natural gas fitter in Menard County, Illinois. Day-to-day duties: • Run polyethylene (PE) service pipe and electrofusion-weld the joints • Purge air from the lines and commission appliances to the correct gas rate • Fix pipe clips, brackets and wall sleeves and sleeve pipe through walls • Locate and repair gas leaks and replace corroded pipe sections • Thread, ream and join black iron pipe with pipe wrenches and thread sealant • Check every joint for leaks with soapy water and leak-detection spray Requirements: • Sound knowledge of gas safety regulations and pressure testing • Driving licence for travel between sites At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. Rotating shifts. Overtime paid at a premium rate. $4,400 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Contact us to fix an interview.
