Now hiring: we are hiring a GTAW welder in Liberty County, Georgia. On the job you will handle: • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size You should have: • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety 5+ years on the tools preferred.
