Urgent requirement: ironing operator (New York)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring an ironing operator in Yates County, New York. You should have: • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment Your main tasks: • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts • Sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents Rotating shifts.
