Immediate opening: we are hiring a concrete shuttering carpenter in Seward County, Kansas. You should have: • 2+ years on RCC and formwork on building or infrastructure sites • Sound understanding of props, bracing and load-bearing • Able to read formwork and structural drawings Your main tasks: • Set up adjustable steel props and falsework to support the slab decking • Fix stop ends and kickers at the construction joints • Fix soldiers, walers and tie rods to resist the concrete pressure • Check alignment with spirit level, plumb bob and string line • Strike and strip the formwork once the concrete has cured • Apply mould-release oil to the plywood faces before concreting Rotating shifts.
