Gang bricklayer • Bland County, Virginia

We are recruiting: we are hiring a gang bricklayer in Bland County, Virginia. You will be based at a groundworks and structures site. Day to day you will forming arches, piers and reveals around openings; erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts; laying bricks to the line, level and plumb; installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays; buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge; mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser. You should have: • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently • CSCS card or willingness to obtain one • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks 2+ years on the tools preferred.
