Sand plant operator wanted in Caldwell County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Caldwell County, Texas. The job is in the fettling and dressing shop. What we are looking for: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding Your main tasks: • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together 6+ years on the tools preferred.
