You should have: • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances • ITI in welder trade or equivalent Day-to-day duties: • Set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator • Maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose • Tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing • Strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc 6+ years on the tools preferred.
