Powder coater — Jeff Davis County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a powder coater in Jeff Davis County, Texas. You will be based at a fabrication and coating plant. On the job you will handle: • Hang components on jigs and conveyor hooks for even coverage • Set the electrostatic gun voltage (kV) and powder flow • Record batch numbers, oven temperatures and coating thickness • Apply an even powder coat with the electrostatic spray gun • Mask off threads, holes and machined faces with caps and tape • Check dry film thickness with a DFT gauge in microns What we are looking for: • Keen eye for finish quality and surface defects • Knowledge of pre-treatment and phosphating process • Can read film thickness gauges and colour codes 4+ years on the tools preferred.
