Pipe tig welder • Bowie County, Texas

We are recruiting: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Bowie County, Texas. The role involves: • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator What we are looking for: • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Own basic hand tools and PPE Six days a week, one day off.
