Join our team: we are hiring a sheet metal press operator in Iron County, Michigan. On a typical shift you will carry out first-off inspection and report rejects to the supervisor; record output and downtime on the production sheet; fit and check guards, light curtains and safety interlocks before starting; check stamped parts against drawings using vernier calipers and gauges; set up and change stamping dies and tooling. Ideal candidate: • Knowledge of press safety, guarding and lockout-tagout • ITI in fitter, machinist or sheet metal trade preferred • Can use vernier calipers, micrometers and go/no-go gauges At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
