Vacancy available: we are hiring a tig welder in Somerset County, Maine. The job is in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. You should have: • Own basic hand tools and PPE • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection The role involves grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions; read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters; select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job.
