Sample machinist wanted in Clinton County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a sample machinist in Clinton County, New York. You will be based in a textile and apparel unit. Your main tasks: • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish • Trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes Ideal candidate: • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory 2+ years on the tools preferred. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
