Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work You will sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; keep the arc length and travel speed consistent; weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through; clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding; feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal.
