Rigger — Scott County

Now hiring: we are hiring a rigger in Scott County, Iowa. The job is at a busy construction site. You should have: • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles You will carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle; read lift plans and method statements before starting; tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear; direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio; secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift. 3+ years on the tools preferred.
