Now hiring: we are hiring a cement mason in Mathews County, Virginia. You will work on a road and bridge project. On the job you will handle: • Compact fresh concrete with immersion poker vibrators to clear honeycombing • Strip and clean formwork once the concrete has gained strength • Give broom or steel-trowel finishes as specified • Lay PCC blinding and the damp-proof membrane over the prepared subgrade • Load, hoist and barrow concrete to the upper floors • Erect and align timber and steel shuttering before each pour What we are looking for: • 2+ years on RCC and concreting works • ITI in masonry or civil work an added advantage • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long hours on your feet At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
