Join our team: we are hiring a crane rigger in Black Hawk County, Iowa. Day to day you will fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads; inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use; check sling angles to stay within the working load limit; direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio; carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift. Ideal candidate: • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Confident with standard crane hand signals Full-time with occasional weekends. Performance bonus on top of base pay. $4,500 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
