Now hiring: we are hiring a GMAW welder in Jack County, Texas. Your main tasks: • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness • Lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints • Change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch • Load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls • Strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc • Read fabrication drawings and weld symbols You should have: • 2+ years on MIG/MAG (GMAW) welding • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety Six days a week, one day off.
