Vertical milling machine operator wanted in City of Buena Vista

Immediate opening: we are hiring a vertical milling machine operator in City of Buena Vista, Virginia. Your main tasks: • Machine slots, pockets, flats, keyways and contours to drawing • Load and edit CNC programs (G-code) at the Fanuc/Siemens control • Keep in-process inspection records and log production counts • Read engineering drawings and GD&T to plan the machining sequence • Set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe • Select and fit end mills, face mills and slot drills into collets and arbors Requirements: • Physically fit to stand and lift workpieces • Proficient with micrometers, vernier callipers and dial gauges • Safety conscious and comfortable wearing PPE around moving machinery Rotating shifts.
