Immediate opening: we are hiring a lifting rigger in Upshur County, West Virginia. The job is at a shipyard. You will check sling angles to stay within the working load limit; read lift plans and method statements before starting; take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings; tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear; secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists; coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller. Requirements: • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles At least 1 year(s) in a similar role. Rotating shifts.
