Now hiring: we are hiring a conventional mill operator in Pike County, Indiana. The job is at an automotive components factory. Day to day you will apply cutting coolant and clear swarf from the machine bed; run first-off parts and check dimensions before batch production; set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter; machine slots, pockets, flats, keyways and contours to drawing. Requirements: • 2-3 years' hands-on milling experience • Proficient with micrometers, vernier callipers and dial gauges • Knows feeds, speeds and tooling for steel, aluminium and cast iron At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
