Great opportunity: we are hiring a VMC operator in Canyon County, Idaho. What we are looking for: • Proficient with micrometers, vernier callipers and dial gauges • Physically fit to stand and lift workpieces • Knows feeds, speeds and tooling for steel, aluminium and cast iron Day-to-day duties: • Set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter • Hold close tolerances down to ±0.02 mm • Machine slots, pockets, flats, keyways and contours to drawing • Set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
