Fire and safety officer — Lafourche Parish

Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working at height and inside confined spaces • Minimum 2-3 years on construction or factory sites On a typical shift you will ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site; audit housekeeping and barricading around excavations and open edges; investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports; check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements; enforce lockout-tagout (LOTO) on energised and rotating equipment; verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates.
