Great opportunity: tig welder (Washington)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a tig welder in Skamania County, Washington. The job is at a precision engineering workshop. Your main tasks: • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle Requirements: • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Part-time with flexible hours. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Walk-in interviews this week.
