Site carpenter wanted in Russell County

Join our team: we are hiring a site carpenter in Russell County, Kansas. The job is in a bespoke joinery workshop. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of timber types, grades and fixings • Accurate to fine tolerances on finish work • CSCS card for site-based work an advantage The role involves finish surfaces with varnish, wax, lacquer or wood stain; plane and sand timber to a smooth, square finish; hang internal and external doors, fitting hinges, locks and handles; measure and mark out timber using a tape, square and marking gauge; install skirting boards, architraves and dado rails; glue, clamp, screw and dowel joints together. Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. $17 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Part-time with flexible hours. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
