We are recruiting: gtaw welder (Illinois)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a gtaw welder in Rock Island County, Illinois. You will work on an industrial construction site. The role involves: • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle You should have: • Own basic hand tools and PPE • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium On-the-job training and a clear path to grow.
