Laundry presser — Wise County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a laundry presser in Wise County, Virginia. You will work in a busy laundry. You should have: • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory On a typical shift you will check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots; keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure; fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press; clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents; operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments; set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics.
