Precision welder wanted in Allegany County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a precision welder in Allegany County, Maryland. You will work in a food and dairy equipment factory. What we are looking for: • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) Day to day you will strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job; weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring). 5+ years on the tools preferred. Pay around $32 per hour, based on your experience. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Full-time with occasional weekends. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
