Immediate opening: we are hiring an offshore rigger in Franklin County, Texas. The job is in a steel fabrication yard. Ideal candidate: • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness • Confident with standard crane hand signals • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear Your main tasks: • Read lift plans and method statements before starting • Coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller • Fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle • Inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use • Guide loads through tight openings into their final position Rotating shifts.
