Trowel-trade bricklayer • Worcester County, Maryland

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a trowel-trade bricklayer in Worcester County, Maryland. Day-to-day duties: • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters • Erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder Requirements: • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets 4+ years on the tools preferred.
