Panel welder wanted in Tarrant County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a panel welder in Tarrant County, Texas. You will be based in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. Ideal candidate: • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances Day-to-day duties: • Grind back and re-weld any defective runs • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness • Lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints • Bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding • Control distortion with a balanced welding sequence • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
