We are recruiting: foundry operative (Kansas)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a foundry operative in Cheyenne County, Kansas. You will work in a non-ferrous casting shop. On the job you will handle: • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles Requirements: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
