Immediate opening: we are hiring a tailor machinist in Geneva County, Alabama. Day-to-day duties: • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges • Stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish What we are looking for: • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
