Safety officer — Kern County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a safety officer in Kern County, California. The role involves: • Check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements • Update the risk register and method statements (RAMS) • Run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry • Audit housekeeping and barricading around excavations and open edges • Run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points • Enforce lockout-tagout (LOTO) on energised and rotating equipment What we are looking for: • NEBOSH, IOSH or a recognised OHS certificate • Comfortable working at height and inside confined spaces • Confident enough to halt unsafe work on the spot At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
