On the job you will handle: • Read insurance damage reports and assessor estimates • Straighten chassis and frames on a jig bench with pulling chains • Strip out lights, mouldings and trims before repair • Check alignment with measuring gauges after a structural pull • Feather-edge old paint and prime bare metal before respray • Knock out dents and creases using a panel hammer and dolly You should have: • Confident reading insurance estimates and damage reports • Steady hand for filler work and block sanding • Good eye for panel gaps and body lines Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
