Great opportunity: we are hiring an occupational health and safety officer in Ibesikpo Asutan, Akwa Ibom State. You will be based at an oil and gas facility. On the job you will handle: • Ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site • Inspect scaffolding, full-body harnesses and lifelines for work at height • Stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action • Run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry • Record accident statistics and keep the safety logbook up to date • Update the risk register and method statements (RAMS) You should have: • Strong record-keeping and incident-reporting skills • Clear spoken delivery for toolbox talks and inductions 4+ years on the tools preferred.
