Great opportunity: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in DeKalb County, Georgia. You will be based at an automotive body and exhaust shop. Requirements: • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces On a typical shift you will clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks; read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing; grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish; weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through.
