Now hiring: we are hiring a lift erector in Polk County, Iowa. You will be based at a shopping mall with escalators and lifts. Ideal candidate: • Good head for heights for pit and car-top work • Sound electrical competence in three-phase and low-voltage wiring Day to day you will set and test the overspeed governor and safety gear; fault-find control circuits with a multimeter and test instruments; run load and overload tests with test weights; top up the oil and bleed the cylinder on hydraulic lifts; respond to entrapment call-outs and release trapped passengers. $3,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
